I started going to Kel’s FLOW classes about 2 years ago. As a strict Bikram practitioner for 8 years whom never tried FLOW classes, Kel led me through my first FLOW class, which changed my perspectives of yoga. Awaken In offers Para Yoga Inspired yoga

In honor of my teacher Rod Stryker. Para Yoga  is “a practical and profound system”  in the lineage of Swami Rama. Based on traditional yoga including asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), Kriya (cleansing practices & visualisation), bhandas (energy locks) with svasana (relaxation) and meditation. It involves moving through postures with flow & power adding energy locks and breath techniques to consciously move energy in the body and mind. A deeper inner practice with strong muscular integrity of movement and engagement.

Kel Green. M.A, RYT 500, Cert. IV T&A    Kel is deeply passionate about helping others achieve  their personal goals and overcome challenges of circumstance by transforming the way they their lives on a daily basis (physically, mentally and emotionally). A former IT marketing consultant and business owner for 15 years she began learning yoga in 1999. In 2008 Kel became a yoga teacher of power, flow, yin, restorative and children’s yoga in the United States. For ten years Kel practiced, taught and studied yoga travelling the USA to receive training in several styles of yoga with renowned and respected teachers.

In 2010, whilst receiving her training as a RYT 500 teacher, Kel attended a course on the Yoga Sutras with Rod Stryker. She then enrolled in the Yoga of Excellence program with Para Yoga, “a practical and profound system rooted in the Tantric tradition. Kel continues study in the Para Yoga program which guides her personal yoga practice and inspires her teaching of the ancient tradition.

Kel uses her Masters in Transpersonal Psychology (body, mind & spirit) to bring together traditional Eastern and Western psychology perspectives to guide in Transformational Yoga. She uses the ancient teachings of yoga for change creating an awareness of the power within each and everyone of  us to transform our  lives for the better. Kel’s focus is self understanding, self acceptance and self-empowerment for healing and personal growth.
